Experiences and adventures in Lapland

We offer unforgettable experiences in Aavasaksa Adventures. Activities include sled dog rides, reindeer rides and snowmobile safaris. Come and experience the magic of Lapland. The activity center provides you with a comprehensive arctic experience in the peaceful and magical nature of Lapland. The activity center will open in December 2024.

Products include a day with lovely husky dogs. Get to know our furry friends on a kennel visit, learn the secrets of a husky team and try the work of a musher in the wonderful nature. A genuine adventure in nature in arctic conditions.

In addition, we offer you the opportunity to get to know the wonderful and mysterious animals, i.e. reindeer, at close range in our reindeer fence. You will hear stories about the work of a reindeer herder and stories about the year of the reindeer. Enjoy a peaceful sleigh ride pulled by experienced reindeer.

AAVASAKSA ADVENTURES ❤️ EU

Aavasaksa Adventures was built to its current scale between 2023 and 2026 with the support of the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the local LEADER group Outkokaira Tuottamhan.

The funding was implemented in three phases through three separate projects

1. Project 269562: Establishment of the activity centre (2023-2024)

2.Project 298534: Development of capacity and service offering (2024-2026)

3.Project 339715: Expansion of capacity and further develpoment of services (2025-2026)

The aim of this funding has been to strengthen sustainable rural tourism, improve customer experience, and support local entrepreneurship in Finnish Lapland.

The European Union's support to these projects: 42.815,82 €.
